How Much of a Product Can be Fed with a Vibratory Feeder

How Small of a Part Can be Fed with a Vibratory Feeder?

ADI is known for feeding some of the Feeding Industry's smallest parts!

  • As thin as 0.015 of an inch

Well-proportioned parts with a size as thin as 0.015 of an inch can be fed up to 24 linear feet per minute. Heavier parts of good proportions will feed well, regardless of their overall size.

How Large?

  • 7 inches long and 2 inches in diameter

Feeder bowls are available for handling cylindrical parts up to 7 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. Larger diameters can be accommodated if their length is less than 7 inches.

What affects "Feedability"?

The way a part feeds is affected by its material and its dimensional proportions (for example, length versus diameter). A part that is 1 inch wide and 2 inches long and 1/8 inch thick will normally feed well. The same part, if only 0.001 of an inch thick, is too light to maintain consistent contact with the track and will not follow an optimum feed pattern.
