Parts Feeding Tip: Rubber Mounting Feet Add to Feeder Performance
The Rubber Mounting Feet attached to the bottom side of a vibratory feeder drive base (base unit), serve two equally important purposes. One purpose is to isolate the vibration in the drive base from being transferred into the stand on which the drive is mounted. The second purpose is the mount’s role in adding to the movement of the base casting which in turn adds to the total movement of the feeder bowl attached to this drive base. When rubber mounts dry out and become hard or are softened by oils or solvents, the movement of the feeder bowl is reduced. Simply replacing the rubber mounts can improve the unit’s productivity. Be sure to check the means by which mounts are secured to the drive base and also the way the positioning of the entire unit is accomplished. Make sure the movement of the rubber foot is in no way restricted.
