Hazardous Location Equipment

๐Ÿšจ New NFPA Updates on Combustible Dust Safety
The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) has recently updated its standards for companies manufacturing products involving combustible dust — and Automation Devices has the equipment to help you stay compliant.
Our pressurized rubber shrouds, pneumatic inline feeders, pneumatic hoppers, and Barksdale switches all help reduce the risks associated with combustible dust in manufacturing environments.
Automation Devices' feeders are round which allows a pressurized boot to seal the base with the top allowing a controlled positive-pressure air leak ensuring no dust or powder can enter the mechanical workings inside the boot. The Barksdale switch monitors any pressure variance inside the boot which would shut down all electrical input in the event of a mechanical or electrical malfunction. The pressurized system with the Barksdale is not possible with square-base feeders.
๐Ÿ’จ Combustible dusts can come from more sources than you might think:
๐ŸŒฝ Agricultural products: cornstarch, sugar, cocoa powder
๐Ÿ”ฉ Metal dusts: aluminum, magnesium
๐ŸŒฒ Organic dusts: wood, paper
๐Ÿงจ Ammunition manufacturing: smokeless gunpowder
Keep your facility safe and compliant with trusted solutions from Automation Devices.
